European Central Airlines was founded in October 2016 as Kloppair Luxembourg and specialized itself on regional flights out of Luxembourg with a Fleet consisting of several AN148.

- 18. October 2016: Foundation of Kloppair Luxembourg (European Central Airlines)
- 29. December 2016: IPO, SR Group (Cross the World) buys around 30% of the company
- 2016: The company joins the Quality Flyer Group
- 2017: Kloppair Luxembourg joins the World Wide Wings Alliance, followings the merger of both Alliances
- summer 2017: SR Group sells most of its shares to Kloppair Holding
- The company is rebranded into ''European Central Airlines''
