Trinidad Paradise Express was founded by Swisslines Intercontinental Group in February 2020 in order to replace the former national carriers of Trinidad & Tobago: Trinidad Connect and Trinidad Airlines. The company was sold to Air Bridgetown on the 27th of July 2023. Air Bridgetown (until then controlled by Swisslines Intercontinental Group) was in turn sold to Air Jumper Senegal (until then controlled by Cross Switzerland). Air Jumper Senegal was consequently sold to Down Under Holding on the 29th of July 2023. The company remains close to its former Swisslines Group partners and remains a strong member of the Global Excellence Alliance.
